Flashback 2016
At Chattarmanzil and Mahmoodabad Palace , Sahayata and UP Tourism hosted an evening dedicated to Awadhi food, its heritage, and its future. Dr. Ali Khan Mahmudabad spoke on how recipes are shaped by culture, family, and climate, urging that traditions must adapt to stay alive. Chef Pankaj Bhadouria highlighted Awadhi cuisine’s balance of taste and nutrition, while Kanak Rekha Chauhan brought a lyrical touch with verses of Malik Muhammad Jayasi, linking poetry and culinary history.
The conversation also explored the need for cuisine tourism by branding Lucknow’s food, ensuring its authenticity is preserved while making it relevant for today. Set against the grandeur of the palace, the evening blended scholarship, storytelling, and flavour, capturing the timeless spirit of Awadhi cuisine.
Mrs Sarita Kapur, our dedicated teacher at Sahayata Coaching Center, takes immense pride in her 10-year journey of working with underprivileged children. Alongside her co-teacher, Mrs. Savita Shukla, she has been contributing tirelessly to uplift young learners and help them realize their potential.
Reflecting on her journey, Mrs. Kapur shares that she has witnessed firsthand how small but consistent efforts can leave a lasting impact on a child’s life. Many of her students, who maintained 100% attendance and showed unwavering dedication, have successfully completed their 12th grade and secured admission into reputed colleges in the town, including National Christian College.
Under the umbrella of Sahayata, Mrs. Kapur and her team have been able to reach more children and create a nurturing environment beyond academics. Festivals, occasions, and activities organized at the center have helped students grow into confident individuals with a sense of belonging and joy. The involvement of alumni, students who once studied at the coaching center and have now returned to mentor younger batches, has further strengthened the cycle of growth and support.
The organization has always stood by the teachers, encouraging and celebrating their efforts. Looking ahead, Sarita envisions expanding into areas such as music, sports, and other creative activities, which will give children broader opportunities for holistic development. She believes that by investing in education, health, and overall well-being, society can build a brighter and more sustainable future.
Above all, Mrs. Kapur feels deeply proud of her students. To her, each child is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and potential, and nurturing that individuality has been her greatest reward.

HAPPY TEACHERS DAY !!! 🎊
We create before we celebrate. Our children at Sahayata engaged in a fun-filled rakhi-making day guided by our talented teachers. While the boys had their hands adorned with handmade Rakhis, the girls were very thoughtfully gifted pretty bangles by the teachers.
A bright and colourful celebration of an everlasting bond.
Sahayata organized a career counseling session in August for students at its center with Navigate Growth, a skill development community. Niharika Gangwar, the founder of Navigate Growth, led the forum. The senior students engaged actively and had good interactive sessions with the team.
The discussion was both insightful and guidance-oriented, helping the students gain clarity on their future paths and how to harness their skills effectively. Such opportunities are invaluable for their personal and professional growth.
This year’s Independence Day afternoon was spent with the children of Chetna School, an initiative of the Sahayata Foundation. With teachers and Sahayata members present, the students enthusiastically performed various dances and street skits with patriotism and pride at being Indian shining bright.
It was truly inspiring to see the children showcase their talents and confidence.

Sahayata, through its educational centers, works to provide quality education to underprivileged children, who, inspite of obstacles, display a spark, eagerness, and dedication to study. The excellent results of the students are owed to the hard work of both our teachers and students and we are delighted to hear that their efforts were fruitful!
A felicitation programme was held on the 28th of July for the students who scored first-division marks in their 10th boards for the academic year 2022-2023. The students were-

The sports we immerse ourselves in as children lay the groundwork for future success, from simple games at home to organized team events, each minute is a lesson in dexterity, agility and working together with efficiency and empathy. Sahayata believes that a child’s mental developement and education can only be optimized in an environment that lays emphasis on physical development and outdoor games.
Project Khel recently organized an Inter-NGO sports competition and Sahayata is extremely proud to announce that a team of Sahayata students were placed first in the Frisbee competition.
Spearheaded by Mr Akshai Abraham, who founded the organization in 2012, Project Khel seeks to create a safe learning space on the playground where children can open up and express themselves freely. Project Khel aims to inculcate qualities like self discipline, empathy, confidence, teamwork, communication and leadership skills ; qualities that not only make a good sportsman, but will also help the student in all aspects of their life.
Sahayata congratulates the members of the Sahayata Frisbee team on their victory. In the words of Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the Modern Olympic Games, “The most important thing in sports is not winning but taking part; it is not conquering but fighting well” and we are extremely grateful to Project Khel for providing the students with an opportunity to hone and develop their abilities in the field of sports.
Sahayata works to provide quality education to the underprivileged through its educational centres at Colvin Taluqdars’ College and Chetna School for Mentally Challenged Children and is delighted to announce the excellent class 10 final examination results of five of its students. Savita Ma’am and Sarita Ma’am, teachers at the educational centres have worked tirelessly with the students for the past three to four years, who have shown a marked improvement in their examination marks under their able guidance.
Sahayata congratulates the students and their families, and extends a very sincere thanks to the teachers for their verve and perseverance in tutoring the children, whose results we are very proud to declare-
Akhleema- 78.33%
Shafiqul- 68%
